阿青是我的年轻伙计，孔武有力，平时沉默寡言，做事虽然粗枝大叶，总是慢三秒，要事非再三提醒他不可。

昨天他迟到了，原来在上班途中发生交通意外。他驾驶的小型货车鼠鹿在拐弯时被一辆国产车威拉“亲”了一下，对方是个女性，来势凶凶，咬定阿青犯规在先，于是双方年青气盛，在公路上指手划脚，理论谁对谁错。总之谁都不认错，千错万错，是别人先犯错，才连累了自己跟着犯规。

半个多小时后，双方僵持不下，于是双方一齐到警署报案。

阿青用手机叫我去警署见他，并向我预支三百块缴付现场罚款，我才知道他的驾照过期了。

一起交通意外，双方备案前，各自先被罚款，原来对方少妇的车险路税都已过期了，也还未缴付，也被交警当场开从轻罚款三百块，换来一张大马皇家警察的收据。我笑着对阿青说：“在这送旧迎新的时刻，这一次的教训只当破财消灾吧！”

意见相左，大事化小事，小事化无事是我对事情的处理方式。贤人早就教我们“小不忍则乱大谋”、“退一步海阔天空”。如今，阿青与少妇这一碰撞，没有擦出爱的火花，却引起了肝火上升，结果“两败俱伤”；而交通警察则是“蚌鹬相争，渔翁得利”！

马来西亚庆祝大宝森节

兴都教的“大宝森节”(Thaipusam)大多落在每年公历的1、2月间(2010年是1月29日)，是虔诚的兴都教徒赎罪、奉献及感恩的时节。据说在印度本土已经看不到了, 现在依旧保留这个风俗的是新加坡和马来西亚. 和其他具有欢乐气氛的印度节日不同，大宝森节是个忏悔和实践诺言的节日。

　　信徒的祭祀仪式有很多种，例如：剃头，做法事，用银针刺穿舌头、双颊等，其中最突出的方法就是背部肉体上嵌入无数个铮亮的小铁钩，这些铁钩类似鱼钩，每个钩尾都结着一条粗绳子，由后面一人集中抓在左手，牵拉扯紧，同时右手挥舞着一条鞭子不停地鞭打驱赶前面的教徒。有的教徒则在每一个铁钩上沉沉地坠满苹果、茶壶之类的物品，或是背着巨大的钢制弓形枷锁(负卡瓦第)，从一座印度神庙游行到另一座印度神庙，进行祷告及献祭，借此表示对神明忠贞不移的信仰，并祈求神明的赐福。

　　要参与这样一个庄严的庆典，忏悔者必须在1个月前开始准备，严守戒律、禁欲并吃素。在进行背负卡瓦第仪式前，所有忏悔者必须接受寺庙祭司的训诫，并进行24小时的斋戒以便为这崇高的节日净化肉体与灵魂，而他们相信在仪式进行时姆鲁卡神会与他们同在，使他们完全毫无疼痛的感受。印度教徒近乎自残的行为，却丝毫不觉痛苦的神奇现象令人匪夷所思，他们身上非但不会流血，事后也不会留下任何疤痕，印度教徒将此视为神绩的表现。

　　是印度人的节日，又称屠妖节或万灯节，家家户户会把房屋打扫干净，在住屋周围点上灯，迎接守护神和幸运女神，印度兴都教徒会举行盛大庆典，用车载着神像游行庆祝，有些教徒身上负着铁架，刺着银针，向神表示谢恩或赎罪。庆祝中心在小印度一带。

马来西亚各地的兴都教徒从今天起，一连三天在吉隆坡黑风洞大事庆祝，酬谢神恩，预计会有六万善男信女到来参拜、祈福或还愿。

吴晓波在台湾吃豆腐

大陸權威財經作家吳曉波，昨天受邀參加台北國際書展，為他的成名作「大敗局」宣傳。他接受本報系聯合報專訪，特別提到台灣的文化創意產業，將可能是未來兩岸共創「大勝局」的關鍵。
吳曉波長期關注大陸經濟，出身於記者的他，花了十多年，將大陸企業失敗的案例一一在「大敗局」中呈現。他說，企業成功可能有100個條件，然而大家都只關注寫那100個，卻忘記造成企業失敗的原因，往往只有一個，而且事關重大。若能夠記取失敗，才能夠掌握成功的關鍵。

大陸改革開放，讓許多擁有「中國第一」的民營企業群搭著「市場經濟」順風車，一路順利成長，規模成倍數地膨脹。在「大敗局」裡，吳曉波逆向操作，引用19家民營企業失敗的例子，指引欲投資大陸的台灣讀者們。

歸類這些企業失敗的因素，有的因為政府宏觀調控，有的是因為領導人性格問題，還有是跟媒體打交道打得「過火」了，導致失敗。「大敗局」不僅是一部產業史，同時它也一部大陸經濟起飛的見證史。

雖然吳曉波「大敗局」描寫的是「失敗」，另一方面，吳曉波對未來大陸經濟有「絕對成功」的期待。

他說，去年中國的GDP首度超過日本，成為全球第二大經濟體。而中國達到目前的成績，僅是推動「擴大內需政策」的開始。他樂觀地預估，未來中國至少有20年以上的經濟成長期。
這次登台，吳曉波參觀佛光山、法鼓山、墾丁，還有「海角七號」阿嘉的家，他感受到台灣豐富的文化內涵，及自創品牌的創意。他說，大陸的強項在硬體，台灣的強項在軟體，特別是文化產業部分。

他舉了誠品書店為例。他說，只有台灣的創意團隊，能夠打造出那種「書香」、「人文氣息」，就算有再好的硬體，都無法一比一複製。

他說，在台灣，就算只是一塊豆腐，台灣人講究「怎麼吃、如何營造吃的氣氛」，連在嘴裡都能嚼到台灣文化，讓他感到「驚豔」。這種文化、這個味兒，就是台灣的驕傲，也就是台灣獨特掌握的「軟實力」，而這也是大陸較缺乏的。

吳曉波表示，若兩岸能夠在軟、硬體上面互補，那麼能夠創造的「大勝局」，絕對指日可待。

丢在地上的喜帖

今早开门拾报纸，惊然发现在其中的一份报纸，用橡皮筋束着一张红色的请柬。这是我第一次在地上拣红色炸弹，一阵错愕！更使我吃惊的是这难道是新型人类的作风，把象征人生一大喜事的请柬往地上哪么一丢，就算与报纸那样算是传递给收柬人了，也是传达了请赴喜宴的讯息。

众所周知，华人办喜庆总是讲究礼仪细节，即然请客也不免俗，客套话照旧还是要说的，对主婚人、新郎、新娘见面离不开吉利话“恭喜恭喜”。

如今主婚人请客赴宴，当事人忙不开，委托友人送请柬也该有个分寸。即使由派报人代分，客人不在家，或出门，送帖人也可学一学邮差，将喜帖放在邮箱里或按门铃传达给收柬人。这是最基本的礼貌，也是我们常常向孩子们灌输的传统美德。可是，我觉得有些人可能相处了一段时间，彼此熟络了，待人接物，碰面请安问候，互相尊敬的处世价值也可抛掉了，这是多么可悲的现象啊！

总之，这一次在地上收起喜帖，心里有股说不出的不悦情绪，我暗忖：可否在赴宴时也将贺仪丢到主婚人面前，让他难堪？以其人之道还治其人。当然我不会跟他们一般见识，总算看到了华族不文雅的一面，只当反面教材吧！

ISA vs 恐怖活动

废除内安法令联盟（GMI）代表律师云大舜在网上个人“推特”（Twitter）撰文揭露，政府在上周四秘密展开《内安法令》逮捕行动，逮捕了50名来自各国大学生。无论如何，内政部长希山慕丁只承认政府援引《内安法令》扣留十人，其中九人是外国人，一人是马来西亚人。

内政部长希山慕丁今午召开记者会证实，政府援引《1960年内部安全法令》扣留十人，其中九人是外国人，一人是马来西亚人，大部分扣留者是在入境不久后遭到逮捕。

但是，他以国家安全为由，拒绝透露这些人与哪个国际恐怖组织有关，也拒绝透露他们遭逮捕的详情。当记者询及九名外国公民的国籍时，他说：“我不能告诉你。”

云大舜早前在其“推特”揭露，政府在过去数天秘密援引《内安法令》展开逮捕行动，约有50名在本地大学就读的各个国籍大学生在上周四被捕，罪名是涉及恐怖主义活动。

他指出，其中38人隔日（上周五）获释，剩下的12人依旧在扣留中，他们已被逮返武吉阿曼警察总部。不过，当记者向希山慕丁寻求证实时，后者矢口否认多达50人遭逮捕的消息，他说：“这个资讯并不正确，被拘留的人数是十人，这十人全都与恐怖活动有关，与国际恐怖组织网络有所联系。”

至于其他资讯，希山慕丁一概以攸关国家安全等非常理由拒绝透露，“这件事情是与国际单位合作展开的，我必须对自己透露的事情小心一些，但我可以肯定的是，有十名人士因涉及恐怖活动而在《内安法令》底下遭逮捕。”

他指出，如果不尽速采取行动，恐怖活动可能影响我国安全，同时，他也告诉媒体，大部分遭逮捕者都是刚刚入境我国，居住时间并不长，所以至今还未展开任何恐怖活动，“所以并非是长久以来以我国为基地的活动，但我担心倘若我们不尽速采取行动，他们可能成立基地，并且影响其他人，让人以为我国与暴力活动有所联系一样。”

至于这十名扣留者先前是否涉及任何国外恐怖活动，希山慕丁也是直接了当的告诉媒体：“这个消息不方便由我来公布。”但他表示：“任何与国际恐怖活动相关的恐怖活动都是影响我国安全，不论他们的目标是我国还是其他国家，只要他们身处我国境内，就受我国司法管辖。”

另一方面，早前废除内安法令联盟主席赛依布拉欣（Syed Ibrahim）向《独立新闻在线》证实政府展开秘密内安法逮捕行动，惟他表示，该联盟还在收集资讯，一旦收集了详实及足够的讯息之后，他们将发出正式声明。

H1N1 Vaccine

I'm a qualified pharmacist. I've been researching the swine flu vaccine that our government has bought for us (using our money, by the way) and its DANGEROUS AS. Its easy a hundred times more dangerous than the swine flu itself. Something that freaked me out is that several swine flu vaccine manufacturers have asked governments to give them an exemption from lawsuits, in case the vaccine caused harm in people.If you made a vaccine that you knew worked, then why would you need a legal exemption in case it hurt people? Massive warning sign. They don't believe its safe.The swine flu itself has killed about 2/3000 people total. The regular flu kills 40 000 plus per year - so why are we freaking out about swine flu, and not normal flu? Does that make sense? No. If the regular flu kills 40 000 plus per year, and the swine flu only killed 2/3 000 - then why are governments buying it in advance, giving it to us for free, and giving drug manufacturers immunity to legal cases against them? Does that make sense? No.

The swine flu vaccine contains 2 horribly dangerous compounds - one is called thimerosol. It is made 50% of mercury. It binds to receptors in your brain, and basically causes brain damage. Is it smart to be injected with thimerosol, and get brain damage, dropping 10 IQ points and going dumb, in order to avoid getting a flu that kills 95% less people than regular flu? No.

The other horrible in gredient is called squalene. Squalene accidentally tricks your immune system into killing your own cells, which creates autoimmune diseases like asthma, multiple scelerosis, diabetes, and a bunch of diseases that we dont have a name for yet (because squalene hasnt been used for that long, and we have little data on its effects) - is smart to inject yourself with that stuff, in order to avoid a relatively mild flu, like the swine flu? No.

If you're a pregnant mother about to take Panvax, ask yourself this - why would you take Panvax, when it contains Neomycin and Polymyxin, B Sulfate - both of which exhibit positive risk to unborn children - so as to avoid what?

A mild flu, that kills 95% fewer people than the regular flu? Look, I'm a funny guy. Yeah, I make good facebook groups. People join them by the thousands, and laugh. But I'm also a qualified pharmacist. I scored in the top 0.1% of my state in school. I'm expert at critical analysis of drugs and their effects on humans. And let me be blunt - if someone came up to me with a syringe full of swine flu vaccine, or came near my family with one - I would take the needle off them and poke them with it myself - followed by several very hard punches. This stuff is poison. Don't take it. Dont let your friends take it. Don't let your family take it. If some idiot in a lab coat asks you if you want it, ask them about thimerosol, squalene, and why the company making it wants legal exemption from being sued, and watch their face go into "omg I'm being asked serious questions that I dont have the answer to" mode. Anyway. I hope you're all well.

Malaysia's Disastrous Capital Flight

Money leaves the country on an unprecedented scale.

Often with the exodus of money goes an exodus of talent as highly skilled persons disadvantaged by race or, as in the case of some Malays, disgusted by local corruption or primitive religious authorities, take themselves and their capital to Australia, Canada, India, China, etc.

Churches are not the only thing to have been going up in flames in Malaysia. Take a look at the nation's foreign exchange reserves. They fell by close to 25 percent during 2009 according to investment bank UBS even though the country continued to run a huge surplus on the current account of its balance of payments.

Says UBS: "Question: which Asian country had the biggest FX losses in 2009?" The answer is Malaysia and by a very large margin; we estimate that official reserves fell by well more than one quarter on a valuation-adjusted basis". It describes the situation as "bizarre" and contrasts Malaysia with other countries with large current account surpluses – Thailand, China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong – which have seen their reserves increase – as should be expected.

In short there has been an exodus of money from Malaysia on a scale which surpasses that which occurred during the Asian crisis. Nor is this just a mirage. The decline is also reflected in a sudden decline in base money supply – even while, thanks to Bank Negara, broader M2 has continued to grow modestly.Who is responsible for this massive outflow? And where has it gone? The questions cannot be answered from the data and probably will not be by a government that knows its own state-controlled enterprises, headed by Petronas, may probably be responsible for part of it.

The more certain reason however is the outflow of local private capital has been taking place on an unprecedented scale in response to political instability, massive official corruption and discrimination against non-Malays.This capital bloodletting has as yet attracted little attention because Malaysia's foreign debt levels had declined dramatically since the Asian crisis and its reserves reached very healthy levels. So the outflow has not disturbed the financial markets, and Bank Negara has easily been able to keep interest rates low and the currency strong.But unlike 1998, when the exodus of hot foreign money was a major contributor to the crisis, foreigners cannot be blamed. There is little speculative interest in the ringgit and the Malaysian bourse has rather fallen off the map as far as foreign institutional money is concerned.

The BRICs, India, China, Russia, Brazil have taken the merging market lead once dominated by Southeast Asia.Nor is there much evidence that the Middle East money which was supposed to be flowing into Muslim Malaysia, into holiday apartments or Johor's massive Iskandar development zone, has been much in evidence. Malaysia's one recent success, the development of its sukuk (Islamic bond) market may have caused more capital outflow than inflow. At any rate any overall net inflow of foreign capital whether into bonds, equities, factories or real estate has been dwarfed by the exodus of Malaysian money.The latter is reflected in the weakness of private sector investment, which now trails public investment. Indeed it explains why the economy remains weak despite very healthy prices for most of Malaysia's commodity exports.

The nation has been running a current account surplus of more than 10 percent of gross domestic product for the past decade and hit about 17 percent of GDP in the year just ended. Initially this surplus was needed to pay down debt accumulated during the mid-1990s Mahathir boom years and to rebuild foreign exchange reserves to healthy levels.But subsequently it became simply a consequence of the weakness of private investment. Domestic investors were discouraged by the corrupt and warped system and foreigners moved to China and elsewhere.

GDP growth has become ever reliant on government stimulus – again racially biased in its allocation -- financed by a persistently large budget deficit.Meanwhile, publicly controlled capital has been rushing overseas. Petronas has been spending its billions in profits around the world as it attempts to become a major global player – at the expense of Malaysian citizenry in general and the oil and gas producing states in particular. Other government-controlled entities such as Malayan Banking Bhd have been bidding top dollar for foreign assets – such as Bank Internasional Indonesia.Often with the exodus of money goes an exodus of talent as highly skilled persons disadvantaged by race or, as in the case of some Malays, disgusted by local corruption or primitive religious authorities, take themselves and their capital to Australia, Canada, India, China, etc.

The 2009 reserves loss may have had some specific cause which will not be repeated. But it has merely served to underline a dismal trend which has been in evidence for the best part of a decade. Malaysia has so far been saved from itself by the commodity price gains of the past five years – with even the late 2008 collapse now largely reversed. Oil and palm oil may be off their peaks but both are now double their prices of five years ago.It is better not to imagine what will happen to Malaysia if prices collapse to 2004 levels and stay there. Better now to address the real reasons behind capital outflow and lack of private investment.

2008年12月份，好莱坞摄影师汉森在张家界进行了为期四天的外景拍摄，大量风景图片后来成为美国科幻大片《阿凡达》中“潘多拉星球”各种元素的原型，其中“南天一柱”图片就成为“哈利路亚山”即悬浮山的原型。《阿凡达》在全球热播后，海内外亿万观众更是对“哈利路亚山”原型地张家界心向神往。

旅游无国界，电影无障碍。对于本次更名行为，仁者见仁，智者见智。有部分网友认为张家界没必要因为一部电影而改名换姓，也有网友觉得此举更能证明《阿凡达》悬浮山原型地就在张家界。

袁家界景区管委会主任宋志光当天发表了自己的见解，“南天一柱”更名为《阿凡达》“哈利路亚山”绝对不是“崇洋媚外”，只是顺应了景区土著居民和广大游客的心声。同时他还表示，张家界是世界自然遗产，神奇风景不仅是中国的，也是全世界的。现在把“南天一柱”更名为《阿凡达》“哈利路亚山”，就是向外界传递一个重要信息:张家界不仅属于世界，也已经走向世界。
