The misfortune of Slumdog Millionaire Child Stars

Eight Oscars and US$326 million in box office receipts have so far done little to improve the lives of the two impoverished child stars, Azhar and Rubina Ali.

Two days ago, while Azharuddin Mohammad was asleep in his shanty when a police officer woke him up and asked him to leave the premises. Shortly after that the Mumbai city workers started demolishing part of the slum . Azhar's home was bulldozed. About 30 homes were destroyed.

Slumdog Millionaire child star Azhar who have been showered with gifts and bursts of fame, was beaten by a police officer using a bamboo stick. He was so frightened and wept over such a misfortune state.

According to Shaneen Ismail, Azhar's mother, who has lived in the shanty in India's crowed chaotic city for more than 15 years, the Mumbai city workers flanked by policemen did not give any prior notice, and the poor shanty dwellers did not even have a chance to get their belongings.

The poor talented child stars were forced to move from the their wrecked home and started to find another hut or shed in the outskirts of Mumbai city.

It's a pity that the fame of child stars does not bring good fortune to their family, most unfortunately they are living in a capitalistic society. The rich becomes richer, and the poor becomes poorer.Their welfares have been neglected by the government. Nobody really take pain to take care of their wellbeings.

I appeal to UNICEF to fork out a solution to help the poor children in India and all the third world countries?
